Swerved to miss an idiot pulling out, it was raining.. BAM... hit curb and a fence.

In hindsight, I should have hit the idiot.
Not good, radiator done in, wheel, fender tweaked. Hood looks OK.
Not sure about suspension.

I'm pretty bummed out. Had just done a major cleaning and wax job yesterday, looked so clean on the flatbed.

Thanks Hurdi, Yeah, sucks. But in the end it's just a car, hope it's not a total. Things add up fast on these cars. I'm pretty damn fond of this one.

Bummer! Glad though no one was hurt.

Probably not a total. The damage not that bad. I assume though the air bags didn't go off?

But almost certainly the car will need some Celette Bench time. The shelf that runs along side the front trunk is probably bent down and this will have be repositioned so the new fender fits right. (My Turbo suffered from this from hitting a mule deer on that passenger corner.

Also, the right front suspension/steering hard points will be checked. I suspect some will be found out of position.

Be real careful this work is not scrimped on. The caster will be off and there's no adjustment for this -- though aftermarket suspension hardware can be fitted which allows this to be adjusted it is not the right way to adjust accident damage out of the car's steering/suspension -- so having these hardpoints brought back into spec is critical to getting the car back to its pre-collision condition.

I would be surprised the vaper recovery system escaped undamaged. It resides under the fender. And the headlight bracketry and connector.

All were found damaged and had to be replaced after the deer impact.

If you want, if you PM me with your email address I'll send 4 or 5 or 6 pics that show the extent of the car's external and internal (under the bumper cover, fender) and you can have some kind of reference to go by when your car's in getting repaired.

Just to give you an idea of what my pics might be able to show you and how they may be able to help you, here's a pic that shows the deer hit damage:

Here's the shelf:

Sincerely,

Macster.

Bugger, as odd as it sounds it takes a lot of skill to ensure you hit someone properly in an accident. If Im in the right, I dont swerve for anyone, unless Im on the racing track. It goes against every instinct!
