Looking at my original window sticker for my first 1999 Carrera Coupe, the left column shows the list of standard equipment. Limited Slip Differential nor any other traction control devices other than ABS were included in the standard C2.

The middle column listing the Options and pricing shows that I ordered the Traction Control with ABD in order to get the Torque-controlled limited slip differential (LSD). The Special Chassis Rigidly Tuned is listed separately as are the Leather Sports Seats Manual Adj. All three of these options were part of the P95 Sport Chassis (for manual transmission) option package which also included the ASR (traction control). P93 was all the above hardware minus the sports seats. Neither the P93 nor the P95 was available in Tiptronic cars.

Also refering to the official Porsche Cars North America literature sent out to all PCA Newsletter Editors at the introduction of the 996, with a very detailed listing of all the new technical details on the (then about to arrive) 1999 996, the LSD also shows as listed under OPTIONS within the Traction Control (TC) with limited slip differential (LSD) and automatic brake differential (ABD) package.
My 99 only came with two options on the window sticker. Stereo with optional CD player (a CDR-210 on my very early March 1998 build. The CDR-220 stereo came later in the 99 model year) for about $345 and the Sport Chassis option package for about $2100 which included limited slip, M030, and the other goodies listed above. My sport seats are long gone. They were replaced with Euro GT3 seats by the original owner. The total list price was around 68k.
