Banks willing to finance a 996

Being from Canada, where we have a functional and competent banking system I'm confused by this thread. Why would a bank have any issue lending you money for any kind of vehicle unless you're grossly over extended? Anytime I've gone in for vehicle financing I'm not sure I've ever even told then what I was buying - other than in casual passing.

Good info about Penfed and other lenders to finance a 996.
I am hunting now and forgot about age limits on vehicles. I will have to check them out if one of my 2 credit unions have any limits.

Penfed at 1.99%. Took about 3 days for approval / opening new account with them. They might have extra questions that aren't in their online app, so call in and check on status if it takes more than 24-48 hours.

I used southwest airlines federal credit union on both of my 996s. My first finance with them on the 1999 was this past Jan. And they also financed my 2000 which actually goes threw today.
The 1999 was originally financed with Pentagon federal and the 2000 was with Chase.
Good luck!!

Another option if you are having difficulty is to see if credit card has some kind of loan program. I did this to purchase my m3 since it was a 20yo car. They had a loan program that surprisingly had lower interest rate than a traditional bank or credit union at the time. But not everyone has a high credit limit so that present an issue to some.
