Default Is the cabriolet windscreen worth it?

I bought my cab a few months ago and it did not come with the windscreen. I have considered getting one but have never had one and I am wondering if it is worth the money in terms of really lowering wind in the cabin and also the hassle of putting it on and off etc... - What do you folks think?

Worth it. It's an easy on off and it dramatically reduces the "swirl" of wind that comes back at you from the rear.

It makes a noticeable difference in reducing turbulance at highway speeds. Some say thats good, some say not.

I've done without one for the three years I've owned my car.

I guess if you don't want your hair to get messed up you might want one, but otherwise I'm not bothered by the wind when I have the top down.

Personal taste. One came with my car. My wife likes it. I never use it. If I wanted a sunroof, would have gotten a hardtop.

It is amazing. On the colder spring or fall days, you can still have the top down if you have the windscreen up. It's great.

I bought one from Ebay a fews ago because my wife didn't like riding with the top down and eating her hair. It works great, however, I seldom use it. Maybe a couple of times a year. You know the saying, "happy wife, happy life!"

It's nice to have, just like all the books and the tool kit. It makes the car worth a tad more when it's time to sell.

Oh yea, in 7 years of my 996 Cab and 1 year of my Turbo Cab ownership, I've used them a total of less than half a dozen days out of hundreds going topless. I ride motorcycles, without windshields. If the wind was an issue I wouldn't ride them nor have bought a Cab.

Wife does like them though as she has near waist length hair and got used to the deflector in her Boxster.

It works very well, even at highway and extra-highway speeds. I only use it occasionally. Normally, I want the wind blowing around me, but on nice days, when Mrs. SSST and I are going out and she has her hair fixed I use it.
