Thanks for the info. Is replacement the only fix for clogged lifters or can they be accessed and blown out?

The cost of new lifters vs. the cost of going back in the engine over and possibly over again is small potatoes.
You are safest if you just replace the lifters. 'course, there's a concern that the high pressure/clean side of the oiling system might still have something in it and this could ruin new lifters shortly after the engine is fired up again.
The metal debris could also result in lifter bore scoring which can bled vital oil and oil pressure away from the lifter and it may not ever work 100%.
If the lifters are truly clogged with metal debris you are really faced with taking the engine out of the car and apart and cleaning it thoroughly and of course replacing any other items that need replacing.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Did you hear it run? Is it very noisy?
Maybe it is not running right because the crank sensor got damaged when they put the flywheel back on the crank flange? It is easy to hit it with the flywheel.

Great forum with tons of knowledgeable folks out there. Thank you for all the insight. End result the Indy and I worked out a significantly discounted price for the work and parted company on good terms. At the end of the day, got the ims/rms, clutch and lifters repaired. With peace of mind, now it's time to just enjoy my 911!!! Thanks everyone.
