Default New clutch sweetness

Man, am I a happy camper!! Just drove my 99 C2 home from getting a new clutch and flywheel. WOW. I didn't realize how degraded my clutch had become. This is how it's supposed to drive....

I was going to do the IMS bearing replacement along with the clutch but they (Hergesheimer in OC) confirmed that my M96 engine has the larger '06 style IMS bearing and there's no replacement necessary. I was really happy to hear that as well. I knew my motor was a factory replacement in 2006 but I wasn't sure if it was the new style or an original '99 M96. I'm really jazzed about that. I've got a solid '99 with less than 35K on a '06 spec M96 engine AND a new clutch. YESSSSS!!!! (best part is that I have less than half the money invested in it than I would with a comparable '06 997).

Gotta love a solid feeling clutch. Getting my clutch done (pressure plate, bearing, and disc). I am so looking forward to the improvement. The IMS is getting retrofitted as well.

Love the color of the car!

Thanks for the feedback. It's Zenith Blue.

As for the headlight trim, I'm not sure which model it is. There are a few places that sell those things. It was on when I bought the car. The previous owner did some paint touch up to remove rock chips etc. and he painted these to match.

I bought my lotto tickets at the shell station this morning when I was filling up.....

Thanks for coming in!
<- I'm a fan of the Zenith blue as well. Don't know if you saw my Boxster in the shop or not...

Yes, I saw it in the shop on a previous visit. Very Nice!!! I love the color, you just don't see many around. To me it is the perfect Porsche color because it has a way of showing off the contours better than anything else.

I am loving the new clutch. It's like a new car. Thanks!

Yep, pretty rare. We actually have two of them running around the shop. Just dumb luck that they were available locally.
Glad the clutch is working nicely. They feel like butter when new!
