Default SOLD: NIB C2 Transmission....

I have a factory Gertrag C2 transmission (G96/01) for sale. It's stitting in it's original crate from Gertrag which I've never opened. This is the 02'-05' version which had some significant upgrades over the early trannys although they share the same gearing. It has a open diff.

$4,000. + shipping from So Cal.....

Pete it was sold from Porscher supplier SSF as such although it could easily be a factory reman. The crate is definitely from Gertrag. I bought it 2 years ago from SSF and have never opened the crate to peek. A potential buyer is coming by this morning and we'll open the crate and see not that I could tell the diffeerence....

It was on sale when I bought it so I'm just recouping my original investment. It did sell this morning to a Rennlister. I'm replacing it with a custom short ratio gear box that a friend had built but hardly used. I'm expecting miracles....

FWIW, my existing G-Box tranny has gone 2 years of hard racing in 2 series, POC and NASA without a hitch. I credit that longevity to a tranny oil cooler insisted on by G-Box (thanks Stanley), and Synolec 9920 gear lube as recommended by Matt and Paul @ Guard Transmission. If you're racing a G96 box this gear lube is the best....

John, how often do you change your SYNOLEC gear fluid?

Not very often maybe 3 times last year. I change motor oil every other event, but Synolec is tough stuff. I'll try and do better with this new box....
