Porsche aero kit cars

The wheels on the car appear to be Champion 3-pc in 19". Champion Porsche sold a custom package for Carreras that looked a lot like this red car and would often add the factory aero kit parts as part of the package. Shorter springs were also part of the package and this car appears to have been lowered. One of my friends has a 2000 C2 like that.
The aero kit parts look genuine, but again, you have to verify the existence of Porsche part numbers molded into the pieces. Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about whether or not it has been modified and I would concern myself more with condition, mileage, service history, etc...

12-20K
so amny factors. It is really hard to say.
I paid 15 for mine 2 years ago with 103K and I dumped 5K in to make it right.
I think anything under 20.....
Looks like PA and it looks really familure.... Where is that?

$6500 off his original asking price is pretty aggressive and according to kbb.com, lower than the Private Party, Fair condition price. If I were the seller, I'd ask what issues you've found in the car that warrant such an offer.
In any case good luck with the negotiating.

Yeah it's very aggressive but in this economy it's worth the chance. The worse he could say is no. Realistically speaking I think we will end up somewhere slightly north of 20k. I'm buying this car for the long term. At 25 right now I would have liked to have a original aero car. Things like that would be worth more not only to me but in the long run when I'm 65 and want to sell it. Similar to a classic car of the yester years where you deal with numbers matching and decoding of vins. finding out non a/c cars are worth more then cars with a/c based on rarity etc etc so on and so forth.
I have a history of tuner modified cars. They work great when done right but at this point in time I'm really trying to steer clear of it. This car is very sharp looking though so I'll make the slight exception.
I'm sure is original price was based off of him thinking it's a true aero car but it's not, he says the Shaft bearing was done and he used a aftermarket sealed bearing of some sort but he wasnt able to show proof, the brakes in any case suck, the front bumper needs a respray. I guess we shall see what happens right?

Hard to tell from the taco wing but it looks like it is missing the "gurney lip" on the lower tier. Can you get a pic of the part # of the wing? Should say made in France.

Your Aero option is not factory as per option codes shown but maybe; 1. Dealer add on or, 2. Buyer aftermarket or buyer factory parts add on after sale.
The following codes apply to several different Aero options from Porsche Exclusiv. The list is confusing and conflicting, but it is what it is. Porsche are like this...
E21 - Aero Kit (Non-Turbo)
E22 - Aero Kit Turbo Model
XAA - Aero Kit 'cup' for 996
XAF - Turbo Aero Kit for 996
Y01 - Aero Kit 1, front and rear spoilers
Y02 - Aero Kit 2, Front and rear spoilers + rockers
Y75 - Aero Kit for C4S
That's the list I can find that reference all 996 models.
Car option codes shown here on sticker:
84H - Guards Red (water based paint)
AH - Full black leather interior
C02 - USA country code
X54 - Stainless steel exhaust pipes
X71 - Aluminum painted inst dials
X97 - Gear leaver ****, alum/leather
X98 - Hand brake, Alum/leather
236 - Tire brand change at manufacture
288 - Headlight washers
413 - 18 inch turbo look alloys
424 - Auto heating controls
446 - Concave caps with colored escutcheon for rims
490 - HiFi sound system
601- Litronic headlights
696 - Am/FM with CD
The other codes below these do not appear on any code sheets.
