I bought the same deck, personally a little disappointed at the screen resolution, considering upgrading to the 8400 when it comes out.

480x240 doesnt set the world on fire, but adequate for me... its a pretty low cost head unit I guess screen res was one of their sacrifices to get cost down and differentiate the model.

NZ...how does the plastic bezel attach to the metal cage? I recently purchased just the bezel from Euro Motorsports to replace the plain bezel that my installer used on my Pioneer AVIC 930bt. I am wondering if it will work with the existing hardware.

It just presses in, uses tension against the top and bottom and switch trims to stay in.

Ok so I wired it up, including a wee bypass relay for the parking brake so it can play movies all the time Took about an hour. And honestly, you are a fool not to do this mod! Its awesome! Loving the bluetooth connection to the phone, makes it so easy, very cool. It has hundreds of colours too for the buttons you can see, so you can pretty much get the stock dash colour in it.

Cool, which kit did you use for the surround? I am probably a month behind you, but since I have MOST, have a lot more bits to buy

Im really stuck on the amplifier selection now... not sure if I go 5 channel, sub channel for door subs and other four for the dash and rear speakers, or just a mono channel for the doors and head unit for the dash and rear speakers... will be upgrading the rest of the speakers at some point, but dont want a big ugly amp taking up space in the frunk. Hmmmm
