Really been enjoying the Cab. Thank God for the mild winter
. I washed off the yellow stuff yesterday and have had fun with a few small updates:
Custom Lloyd Matts, Porsche Racing Peddles, Griots Air horn, Scosche ipfmrds Iphone interface with Dice mount, Console self, Carbon fiber licensce plate frame and Passport Radar detector install.

I have always done intakes on my other cars with excellent results. I think I'll probably follow suit on the cab. Reading all of the debate has definatley caused some pause. Thinking of the fabspeed CF intake? I had a really great tune on my Mini Clubman S from Alta motorsports using the accessport. Anything similar for the 996? Much easier to plug in to the OBD port than removing the computer to be flashed.

Car looks great.
What is the exact mount you are using?
I recently ran my iPod interface through the back of my console shelf and have been looking for a mount exactly like the one you are using. Thanks.

Bubrubb I'm using a Dice Pass-through cradle. It was the only mount that the cable connected in the back. I purchased it from Kuda mounts. Dressed it up a bit of paint to match the interior better and added the Porsche emblem.

Excellent.
I think I found it here:

Did you drill into the top/bottom of the console shelf to mount? Did you use adhesive?
Thanks for your insight on this. I have been trying to figure out how to handle the same setup for some time now.

Glad to help. The mount comes with two arms. Use the longer one. I used a piece of 2x2 lumber and cut it to length and painted black. I screwed the mount to the 2x2. Just to be safe I used industrial Velcro on the other end. The 2x2 will fit very snug into the console self and will not move. I considered screwing it in to the back of the self but this way if I need to pull it out, I can without any hassle.
