Default Bridgestone RE-11 vs. Michelin Pilot SuperSport

Need new tires on the 996. I tend to be a very aggressive street driver and track the car occasionally. What's the general consensus here on the RE-11's vs. Pilot Super Sports?

I have searched and it seems a lot of the GT3 guys like the RE-11s and some guys on FChat with F430s seem to like them as well.

Any thoughts?

If you are going to DE and/or autocross with these tires, IMO, go with the RE-11's or even Hankook R-S3's. I have run both on a dual purpose 911 and what you give up in ride is more than compensated for by grip.

If Supersports are available for your rim width then there is no question that's what I would choose. The reviews have been positive. The Michelin will perform on road and track with decent wear rating. Plus I hear they stick in the wet, so really a great all rounder for an enthusiast who occasionally drives to DEs.

I wish they would make the SuperSport in the appropriate size for the C4S.

Thanks for the input guys. Now, my car is lowered, what should I do as far as alignment goes? Someone recommended GT3 specs -

Camber: -1 Degree +/- .10 degrees

Agreed! Same goes for Nitto NT05. I've heard great things about those as well.

Why is that? I need replacements for my 04 C4S with sport techno and no go? What are you running?
