Currently enjoying a well deserved mid-life crisis. Please note the red convertible sports car, new "hip" wardrobe, and yes, my hair is a tad too long in the back (what's left of it). Welcome! Enjoyed the fun intro!

Subzero, I'm a new member of the PCA in my area and discovered that most members didn't seem to want to discuss what they do. So, I guess I'm not really surprised by the responses in this thread. But, I will give you a serious answer: I'm 48 and run a business incubator in Chapel Hill, NC a couple of miles from UNC. My brother is a 993 owner, is 35 and is an interventional radiologist in Portland, OR. My dad is a 996 owner and is a retired professor who lives in Greenville, NC.
The wheels look like they came off an sti. IMO, you have the best looking wheels made for the 996. I'm just waiting until I can afford some for myself!

It's not that we don't want to discuss what we do... In PCA we have everything from corporate CEOs to starving college students bravely keeping an old 944 on the road. The great thing about this hobby/illness is that people of such disparate backgrounds and experiences can come together and enjoy each other's company without checkbooks and other distractors getting in the way.
I'm happy to share what I do. It just is not particularly relevant to the conversation over Saturday morning coffee with my PCA friends.

But it's funny that no one really does talk about or ask what we all do. Maybe after a long conversation it may come up but generally not. I don't know if it's intentional or maybe irrelevant but it seems to be the common practice.
In keeping on topic with the original question though...When not working as a **** star I manage web/interactive marketing for the payments processing division of a large Charlotte-based bank.

One thing I have seen a few times is someone joining with the idea of making business connections or gaining customers (I can think of a realtor and an investment advisor who tried this). Kinda nutty if you consider the expense involved. And this is really not appreciated and they got that message pretty quick.
And what do I do? I work for the 'largest privately held software company in the world,' conducting training around the country.
