Default PPI in Jamaica, NY

Hi folks

Anyone have recommendations on getting a ppi in or around Jamaica / Briarwood NY?

I'm looking at a 1 owner 996 and would love to get more info

Also does anyone here have any recommendations on how to pull a service history? I have the car fax and all the maintenance was done at 1 dealer, however I'm not getting much help on the records. Thnx

I was thinking of Deman or Manhattan motorsports. Any idea what a typical ppi costs for either?

Try Rudtners in Freeport. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of independent guys on LI. I would stay away from Manattan. Rick Deman is on the Northwest side of LI. Not ideal. Try one of these guys in this link.

Why stay away from Manhattan? The reason I ask is that the vehicle was almost 100% maintained by them

Manhattan Motorsports is a Pcar dealer in NYC and there are plenty of Indys around who would care more about your needs in a PPI. Do a search on Manhattan Motorsports and you will find more critical reviews than satisfied ones.

Are you looking at a car in that area? quite a few "less than impressive" dealers around there.

Mtech motorsports. It's in New Rochelle right over the Whitestone or Throgs neck bridges. Ask for Mike. He is the owner. Are you looking at the C-4 cab in queens? Came close to buying it.

Thanks...I sent an email request to http://www.mtechmotorsports.com/ and hopefully they are reasonable with a PPI. They are about 15 miles away from where the car is, so relatively close and I'd be willing to buy the car tomorrow if it all came out ok.

Hi Robert
Thanks for putting me in contact with Mike. I'm getting the car checked today and for $200 not bad for a PPI

So the seller won't go to Mtech - just too far away (about 1 hour), but if I go to Formula the PPI goes from $200 to $400. I don't get how the same 2 hour PPI can cost twice as much from 1 place to another! Are there any other options people can recommend in/around Queens?

Like I said earlier - Rudtners in Freeport. It's about 15 -20 minute drive from Jamaica.

+1 for Bill Rudtner. He's a top notch guy, and the PCA driving instructor for our region. The guys in LIC are Formula Motorsports - great bodywork guys, but still know everything.
