I'm curious as to how much HP you can get from a modded 3.4 motor... keep us posted... great thread!

the 3.4 top end with 3.6 bottom should be interesting as well

Hopefully a moderate increase in hp, coupled with a substantial increase in torque.....

I'm on the same 3.6L bottom end 3.4L top end path, hopefully engine assembly beginning this week or next, and dyno results early in the new year. Engine is being balanced this week.

Was that your intent from the beginning? I don't remember reading that on your thread. Can't wait to compare notes....

Would love to see your results once complete. Any headwork being done in terms of performance?

The decision was half based on fun/half necessity. Lost ring seal with pretty bad oil contamination and poor compression in several cylinders. After tearing it down I found a trashed piston jet, perhaps it was clogged enough to cook a piston and cause some warping/ring damage. It looked like the damage was being done "slowly" over time.

I've been eyeballing the Nickies rebuild for years, but this turned out to be the excuse I needed!

The 3.4L rebored to 3.6L case came back from LNE a few weeks ago, the engine balance will be complete this week and I can start assembly.

The valves were cut, decks resurfaced, but no porting, and I don't plan on any timing advance.

Anyone interested in my 3.4L engine? New water pump, AOS, Coolant and oil hoses around engine block, Low temp thermostat, spark plugs, Coolant Expansion tank etc ...

Only problem is i am in Singapore. If anyone is interested, i could work out a good deal inclusive of shipping.

Cheers
