I have to say, and I mentioned this on another forum, that the new 991 is much larger visibly, and the interior is a huge step above and beyond and actually now comparable to Audi, HOWEVER, i'm afraid that the 911 has become less business but more about the business (if that makes any sense)

Yeah, it's like they all got together and decided to change one of the cool things about the 911. before, It did't have to scream "here's a Porsche over here! Right over here , here's a Porsche, see the pretty Porsche dumb people?" Marketing always finds a way to f things up.

I like the 991. The lettering on the back doesn't bother me.
I also like that it has gotten bigger. My 996 is good for me and the wife but not much else. If I win the PCA raffle (fingers crossed) I would definately keep both and the 991 would be the family car do to the increased interior space.
Now that would be a hard life, the 996 as my toy and a 991 as my Family DD.

I really like the look of the 991. I know it is blasphemy, but it has all the beautiful elements of the venerable 911, but a tad of Aston Martin from the back 3/4 view as well... flame suit on!

Hey Jyoteen,
I finally shed the last of the Audis, and picked up a 335i first, and 996 C4S as weekender. I have to agree with you about Audi's interiors having been nicer than just about anything I see in either BMW or Porsche, but I did look at the late Audis too, and they seem to have gotten a lot "less nice" too, with shiny plastic bezels and the like. (You'll recall that I had a couple of B5 S4s, but from there, I jumped to the Bimmer last year because I didn't like the B8 S4 interior.)
As for the 991, I've seen only pictures. It seems to have fallen victim to our voracious appetite for "more", and seems the unfortunate result of one torrid night when a 997 spent the night with a 370z and a Nissan Juke.
...but in three years, I'll probably have decided to like it.
