Garage Floor Installed
I installed my Modutile in my garage last weekend. The cost was $1.98 per square foot with free shipping and no tax since it came from out of state (Texas). Simple to lay down and install. I plotted my design on the web and downloaded that to my PC so I could print it out.
I went with red, black and gray tiles. I was going to do the stock checkered flag look with white and black tiles, but thought the white would show the dirt too much, so I went with the gray and black.
Because I know you guys just LOVE pics....... here they are. In the initial four pics the floor was not complete. I had not finished installing the red tiles along the wall. The last run of tile along each wall had to be cut.

Epoxy was my initial thought, but it is a lot of prep work, cleaning the concrete (which would have been minimal because the house is only 7 months old), acid etching the concrete, laying down the color coat, then the clear sealer, and finally waiting 48 to 72 hours for it to dry completely. I am handy enough to do all of that but the drying time was the killer.
Consequently, I went with tile.

Yes, guilty as charged. It hasn't been washed in a month. I hurt my back pretty badly a month ago (I think I hurt it cleaning the wheels) and could hardly get out of bed the next day. The back is much better but have spent a lot of time the last two weekends organizing the garage and getting ready for the tile.
Beside that, I decided to be less **** about this one compared to the Lapis Blue beauty a I had a few years ago. Meteor Gray is great for hiding a lot of the dirt. The wheels, however, do not hide brake dust very well. Right now my wheels look like they are gunmetal gray instead of silver, because of the brake dust. I will wash the car this weekend.

Mark, Pete,
Thanks for the kind words.
On a side note, my wife encouraged me to do this. She also suggested I buy some better tool chests and maybe a storage cabinet. I got the Sears Craftsman series with the bearing drawers in red & black, which looks good with the floor tile. I'll see if I can get a few pics of them later this week.

Casters roll very well. The little raised "coin" design actually helps to keep the cabinets with casters from rolling away if you happen to bump them, but a little nudge gets them moving when you want them to move.
