Sorry if this is a board member - but STOP POSING
Was driving back from the store on Sunday and noticed a 996 Carerra with a poser badge. Might as well put GT3 on it...
Please, stop the posing. And your new improved badge is not even centered.

I've never really understood why people do this. I've actually seen cars listed for sale that don't really exist - things like a 1999 Carrera S.
If I weren't happy with my choice of car, I'd favor a badge delete over a fake.

hope he didnt recently buy a "Carrera S" from "Jim Bobs used Sports Cars - where all of our quality cars are always covered our inhouse warranty!!!
"Now this is the Carrera S....you do want the "S" model dont you... I mean, you are the type of guy that wants the "S" which means "Sport" - you realize these are highly sought after and hold premium resale...we can get one for you, yes...we have "connections" but you have to act fast! - In house financing is no problem, come on down"

I always liked Mercedes and BMWs when the owners removed the specific model badges. When I lived in Germany in the 80s and 90s this was far more popular. At first I assumed that people were buying the lesser-priced cars and removing the badges to conceal the real truth.
What I learned was that the opposite was more often the case... owners, particularly those in management positions, removed the badges so that their neighbors and employees would not know that they had actually bought the really expensive V12 model.
In this specific case I think the owner of the not-S is just an idiot.

If you think this is bad, you should see the Mercury Capri roadster with the Porsche side stripe seen at golf league. I wish I had a picture to post. I'm not sure who he's trying to fool. Maybe himself.
