Just curious if someone ever found a solution for this? My drivers side folding lever doesn't work anymore. I cannot move it beyond just half an inch upwards, as if something is stuck inside. How does one remove the center back pad of the sport seats of MY99 996?

I had this issue a month ago and repaired it. Checked my photos, I didn't take good enough (or just plain enough) for a good DIY. I can walk you through it if you want.

Bumping an old thread because I now have the same problem and haven't found a good solution.
Mine is a '99 with hard back sport seats. The passenger seat no longer folds forward. The outside lever moves through the full range of travel, but the inside lever doesn't move up at all. I did try tilting the back forwards and backwards using the electric adjustment. This works fine, but still does not allow the back to fold. This is a sudden thing, was fine one day then stopped folding without warning.
Any advice before I try to take the seat apart?
