18 y/o kid shoots out from a stop sign with me and my two boys right in his path, I swerved to my left but Fokker, didn't even see me and clipped my pass side quarter.
pass side airbag deployed, roll bars deployed, pass rear wheel damaged, and axle got tweaked about 8-10 degrees.
My 11 y/o got airbag burns to right fore arm, my 8 y/o got jostled, but otherwise low speed impact,

Idk how to upload pics from iPad, (Internet is out at home),
I need some quick input on diminished value of my car now and if I can come out ok with this incident. I figure at least 6-8k in damage, if not more. Car was immaculate, only 16,800 miles. I'd still like to have it for my son, so how do I play the repair/total game??
Any input , highly appreciated.

Wow that stinks! I wouldn't do anything hasty....wait for the insurance company. If it is that bad maybe they will total it and typically replacement is more than what you spent on the car. Remember the 996 / snowplow / Autozone semi story? That started out bad the guy ended up with a 996TT. Don't sell it down the river just yet. Still sucks and am sorry. Keep yer head up!

I had an a-hole do that yesterday. I'm 4 car lengths behind the guy in front doing 30 mph, a-hole blows the stop sign and turns into the oncoming traffic lane and then cuts me off. I zip up on his *** and he pulls over and waves me by.
I wanted to punch him right in the throat.

Hey now, car was built June 00, it just turned 11 .....the car is clean right now, so I'm going to let the other guys insurance company do their once over, and see what they say, then get my USAA adjuster on it also. Car is at my house , so once I know which shop they recommend, I'll pay a visit before anything is done. There is a exc. exotic car body shop near my house, so I hope it's there. I'd like to keep it for my son, who was born June 2000, but If the money's right, ill be on the lookout for either a C2S, C4S, or Turbo Cabs.

You should have the opportunity under your ins policy to take it wherever you'd like to get it fixed. Mine doesn't dictate where I have to go. Hope the hassle factor is low for you.

That stinks. I'm glad to hear everyone is okay though!
I had a guy almost do something similar the first day I had my car out! I was approaching an intersection with my right turn signal on. There was a slow moving vehicle ahead of me because of traffic so I wasn't going anywhere very quickly. The light just turned yellow as I was about to turn right but instead of turning I just stopped. My wife said, "You know you need to turn here, right?" and then BOOM, the van behind me blasts by at a very high speed on the right hand side of the road. He was basically driving in the gutter. I had a really bad feeling about the way he was driving and just knew I shouldn't turn. If I'd even turned the car even a few feet he probably would have hit me...HARD. The top was down and I had my wife and two kids in the car, too. Sometimes people are just careless and stupid.

I've scoped out a C4S and a few Turbo Cabs to gauge what's out there. I may just hold out regardless for a few months, there are a lot of nice Pcars in the 50-60K range, which is my search range at this time.

Sorry to hear...glad you and the boys are O.K. I'd get my own estimate (from a premium repair shop). Hopefully you can get the premium amount from his insurance company and either use that premium shop or a less expensive (but competent) one for the actual repair.

First Glad everybody is OK!
Second will be interested in how USAA treats you. I have been a member for 39 yrs.
I really think with the axle problem you may be looking at the car being totalled by them.
