By the way, did anyone buy the engine you listed above?

I contacted LNE about doing just this sort of thing shortly after I bought a '99 C4 cab. It still seems like a good idea for the more risk averse crowd. What would a '99 M96.1 engine, 10/98 build date, with only 32K miles on the clock be worth?
By the way, did anyone buy the engine you listed above?

When I rebuilt that engine right after I rebuilt mine the same way nobody would spend the kind of money it takes to do It right so I have just keep it in my garage waiting for the time when they are more in demand.

Wanna buy a lightly used M96.1 engine in perfectly rebuildable order?

This seems like a real bargain to me. Especially now that shipping is gratis. If you don't like the IMS fix, then install the IMS Solution before you install the motor. I'd be all over this if I were in the market for an engine rebuild. All the bases appear to be covered.
Good luck with the sale!

It amazes me that it's not sold by now. There have been so many blown motors these past few years and this would have been a great buy for someone. If it where a .2, I'd buy it!

I think people are reluctant to buy rebuilt engines from a private person. Especially since warranties are only good as the company standing behind it and if things go sideways, things can turn ugly really fast. Someone to fork out $15K without any safety net can be a deterrent to a buyer. Byprodriver's works looks top notch so my comments are not directed at him but are meant to be in general. If I was him, I would buy a roller and put the rebuilt engine in it, drive it for a bit to make sure all is well and then sell the whole thing. Then again, maybe financially this would make even less sense than selling the rebuilt engine without a car.
