Even stationary and with the fan on for about 10 mins, the temp still did not decrease. It stayed at 100C or the least 99C. The fans did not go off but it did not go on high speed either

Cheers

Have you changed any of the rubber hoses? Back in the day hoses would loose their intergrity and bubble out or in when hot which could mess up the coolant flow.

Yes i have changed a couple of hoses around the water pump area but thats about it. I was thinking of doing a radiator flush tmr, if thats gonna help at all ... Running out of ideas on how to lower the temp.

I think that we have established that you cannot under the circumstances

Why are you trying so hard to lower the temperature? If it's not even in the range that the factory thought required the fans to be on "high", it's unlikely to be an issue. There is a range of optimum efficiency for engines when it comes to temperature. Too cold isn't desirable either...

I am trying hard because the temp of my car never got so high until recently. It used to stay around 85C Max. So i figured there must be something wrong with the cooling system with the sudden increase on the temp gauge.

Did the change correlate with the change in ambient temperatures? I live in Boston, MA (not exactly a hot area) and when driving in the city my temperatures are typically in the same range. When I'm on the highway they drop into the 80's.

Here in singapore, temperatures forever stay the same. 24C-26C in the night and 30C-34C in the day.

Does a boxter run cooler as compared to 996s? I have got a friend who's boxter runs at 87C max.

Cheers

Mine is doing the same as yours all of a sudden this Summer. Cleaning my radiators helped a bit but it's still higher than previous years. The other obvious difference between the years is that it's been extremely hot since June here and I've noticed many people posting on sites about their temperature readings so I'm just going to chalk it up to climate change and sun flares.

problem solved! Cleaned radiators and flushed the system again. Now temp is back to high 80s to mid 90s. I also did the fan mod.
