It is hard for me to choose anything that is not Pirelli. I did like the Yokos when I had them on my 928

Yes no worries. Apparently we spend too much time on here when we know jokes from different threads. BTW AD08s seem very sticky and stiff after another ride tonight. Had both boys in the back so didn't push very hard with the repaired strut. Can't wait till they are broken in. I can tell already they will rock.

I think running tires for the street concerns is the most rational. A guy can dream he is going to push a tire to its limits on the street but eh. I think its best to have the dry and wet performance. Think of night time and surprises like the state or city turns on the water sprinklers around the on and off ramps like around here. Not the time to be running summer tires tracking hard. I voted for the DW's of course.

Oh yah, the Conti extreme contact DW beat a lot of the listed tires on the track tests done a year or so ago. Good handling tire developed in europe's division and just transfered to the states for sale.

A couple here... disregard the dirty car. It was at the dealer for over a week and it won't get washed by them.

Ordered the Contis today. The more I think about it it seems like the best fit for me. There were not too many people in my area that were fans of the Sumis.
I have always liked Continental tires and will give them another shot.
Thanks to all who voted and gave advice.
Hopefully I like them as much as I think I will.

Does anyone have any experience with the Conti's if used for the street and some DE/Track events? How about in the rain? Need to get some new tires soon and this thread is very helpful..thanks!

I live in Seattle area so that answers your question about Rain Experience ... I love these tires - perfect for my mostly Street use Have 2400 miles on them and they show little wear. Traction is good in all weather. Now I have a C4 so some of it is the AWD... but I do not feel any difference driving Wet ot Dry. Steering responce is sharp and they track straight as an arrow on the freeway - even on less than smooth surfaces. I hope to do some AutoXing soon so I will let you know.

I have had the tires for a few months. Was looking at the DWS but after talking with Tirerack - I went with the DW Extreme. It has been a great set of tires.

Done one autox...(another tomorrow) and they did fantastic. Yes - they are street tires...but give adequate traction and plenty of feedback.

Just did a DE in June - held up great...good feedback and held the line at any speed I attempted.

Ran the Tail of the Dragon and Skyway - and kept up with the GT3's (most of the time). If you don't know what this is...google it and you will appreciate it.

This is not a race tire - but the rubber is good. The tread is good in all weather and it can hold its own with AutoX and DE's.

I am very happy with them and will buy them again.
