I have Contis on my M3 and the Sumis on my 996 and I would have to say I like both tires. Both seem to handle well, both the Contis seem a little softer, but that could be the M3.

from a "looks" stand point the DW's are a little wierd (tread) the Sumi's "look" more like a sports car tire IMO - they are great, quiet and handle well on wet/dry - we have heard a couple people say they wake up in the morning a little slow (ala out of round) for a mile or 2 and one person who pushes their car to the point of busting shocks said they were too soft....I think they are great and might be right in line with your thinking/use
I'm no race car driver, but based on my 450 mile experience with the sumis, I would not recommend them. I'm thinking something must have been wrong with mine seeing how so many people like them. If you read Tire Racks customers reviews, 8 out of 10 like the sumis, but 1-2 out of 10 don't. Look at PS2s or other ones like the AD08s and you will be hard pressed to find a negative review except for the price.

I recently went through a month+ agony of deciding, mostly chronicled on this thread in the autocross forum and I bought a set of AD08s and am pretty happy with them. Whether they are the best tire for the OP is a whole different question, especially given the other choices on his list. It makes the poll results interesting but not so useful as a purchasing guide.
I was also swayed by having a C4S, and five quite nice tires got cut from my list merely because they have max widths of 265, 275, or 285. Perhaps the OP doesn't have this issue and would consider the R-1R, RE-11, Star Spec, R-S3, or Pilot SS.

Yomi, great color on your 4S. Atlas grey? This is first picture of Atlas ive seen in sunlight. Sidewalls look good as well. I cant stand rounded sidewalls on a sports car. Im buying a set of AD08 in few weeks. How are they in the rain?

Midnight blue metallic actually. Probably a layer of Atlas grey dirt My front wheels are filthy from brake dust now, rears still look shiny. I let someone in BSP co-drive that day because his regular drive had corded the tires, hence the BSP shot.
I haven't done a rain autocross yet. They seem just fine on the street in the rain, but I haven't tested driving through big ruts full of water or anything. Comments on the net have been quite positive -- it's not the best but it's quite good (that seems a common theme -- it's 2nd best at almost everything, with different tires ahead of it in each area). Here's a comment from Andy Hollis in early 2010, from someone asking about autocross, track days, and occasional DD:
He's also clear on the Kumho XS being quite bad in the wet. Good for long hot dry use though. Since I drive my car to work every day as well as weekend outings with various car clubs often with my 3 young kids in the car, I wanted a tire that would work well in most situations while still being very good at the autocross.

Three Wheelin'
Look at the Conti. DWS as well. Great for Street only driving. Everyone that has them likes them. I have the DW Extreme's. Had to go to 285's in the back since they don't come in my stock size...still run better than my Khumo's (HATED).

since no one asked - what the hell are ya going to use the tires for anyhow HUH ???
oh, was that over the top, sorry....
use is one of the biggest factors in deciding a tire...and price - but seriously the N rated tires are made for Porsche and for good reason. They have stiffer rear side walls to support the added weight of the Porsche platforms. I will be looking N spec tires next time around.... the more I learn the more I find out I am wrong about......If its all the same, get an N spec, that's why they are made
