Default Curbed a Wheel

Yup. The perfect end to a perfect Sunday, I curbed a wheel at Wawa.

I'd like to try to fix it myself like I've seen on the interwebz. Does anyone know for sure if Sport Classic II rims are clear powdercoated? I can't tell.

It happens to all of us. I haven't done it to the pcar yet, but I've done it before and it always makes me wince, like someone cut off a digit.

Good luck.

I thought maybe it was a track somewhere. That really sucks curbing your wheel at a sandwich shop.

I know, right? The whole story sucks even more. I was mowing my fields in Pennsylvania and drove the tractor into a ground hog hole. It caught me by surprise and pinched a nerve in my neck. When I was all done mowing, I went to Wawa to get a soda for the ride back to Maryland. I was backing into an end spot so I wouldn't get hit with a door, but I couldn't turn around to back up because of my neck. Apparently I suck at backing using my mirrors.

So...does anybody know if these wheels are powdercoated?

Wait...you guys don't have Wawa???

Sorry. Can't help you on the Powder coat question.

I live in Texas. Do you really think anything named Wawa would have a chance here?

On the plus side, you have a tractor, so that gives you some cred for a yankee.

BTW. hope you neck feels better. I manage to pinch a nerve in my neck about twice a year or so and it really sucks. I find Advil and red wine help a lot though.

Yeah it's a '38 John Deere Model B. My Dad learned to drive on it when he was eight. I thought it would be cool to restore it and use it. It'll beat your friggin' brains in after a few hours of work.

Cool tractor

My pop lives in the city but always wanted an "A" JD so he bought one and pots around town and an occational parade in it. Kids love to go with him on it

Sorry to hear about your incident. To answer your question about the clear coat, if they are similar to the "Sport Design" wheels the machined lip is clear coated. I'm not sure if it's a powdercoat finish or not. I did have one of mine refinished, and it was about $125 to have the rim straightened, re-machined and clear coated here in Toronto.

never heard of Wawa either out West. We do have have Fatburger though. As far as your wheels go, My standard Porsche Boxster twists are clearcoated over paint.
