Default Aluminum Guage Rings Source?

Hey Guys,

I've been having some problems sourcing some good eom aluminum rings.

Bumperplugs does not carry them anymore, and I'm not too sure on the Ebay ones as I don't know which to pick.

Quality is a big thing for me and I wish to find flawless ones. I'm wondering if anyone knows where to purchase some?

Thanks,

Alin

Try these
http://www.automotion.com/instrument...r-porsche.html

The ones on eBay are both NR Auto. Even the ones from Germany. Quality is not good. They fit decent but the paint is terrible. I'm sanding, priming and repainting mine properly.

Try Pelicanparts.com. The carry good stuff at good prices.

If you choose to buy and repaint, this paint is excellent.

Those are very expensive! So I'm guessing their top quality? Can anyone vouch for the automotion.com ones?

I do not want to get into painting these myself. I just want to buy a good set!

The post just above yours says Pelicanparts.com carry the bad ones... I won't be going for those.

FYI- I could be wrong but I believe these are the NR Auto ones too
http://www.eagleday.com/996alinrikit.html

They are a reseller for them.

I remember seeing $200+ ones somewhere that were aluminum unpainted. That may be the best route for you. Maybe someone can find you the link.

The "cheap" ~$100 ones are all probably from NR Auto.

Another option:

What did you use the paint on? The rings? I need to repaint the truck and engine opening levers and have been looking for an exact match for paint.

I got mine way back in 2007. But I bought them on eBay for $60.98 shipped and they were/are perfect.

Yeah, I used it on the rings. I also repainted a door handle and it looks perfect. Make sure you shake it hard before using it because the dark separates from the light. FYI: that spray can is a base and clear coat blend.
