Rain rain?

Rain, snow, Home Depot duty, transporting a 30 gallon fishtank, rainstorm with soaked track during DE, driving to work everyday...
You name it my car goes through it. I bought it to enjoy it so unless the conditions are absolutely dangerous or we need more interior space (in that case the SUV gets called into action) then my car is on the road.
Sure it might be worth a few thousand less come trade-in time but at least I'll know I had seized every possible opportunity to get the most out of my car during the time I owned it!

If the Jeep and the civic are not parked in front of the garage door, then yes I will drive it. But, I prefer not to get too wet (yes, i might melt) so I just run for the first car closest to the street, jump in and peel out. Two car garage and four cars, so there is always a possibility that the door the 996 is in may be blocked.

No, not at all. When it rains here there is a possibility of hail storms. Since '99, it has only been rained on three times (previous owner NEVER let it get wet). I have other vehicles that I would rather drive in bad weather.

People are all over the map on this topic... but what I noticed is that it's obviously personal preference and location.
Rain is really not a big deal as long as you wash your car after... People are saying that they don't ever get their car wet, but really, it must get wet to wash it right....

Raining in Austin today. Light rain that creates extra slick roads. Hit the gas a little hard coming out of curve and broke it loose. PSM kicked in, and I can now testify that PSM works really well.

I thought Porsches loved snow? I'm gonna say they love rain too! Consider where they come from. The weather is certainly not perfect year round in southern Germany. Plus they ski racks an snow chains are factory options.
Also, you can't truly appreciate a wax job until the water beads up!
