Default Missing tool kit

Went to remove my wheels this weekend when I realized I don't have any tools to do so! Found a 996 toolkit on Ebay for $150.

Does this look correct/complete? I really need the wrench for the locking lugnut. Trying to install wheel spacers...kinda tricky when you can't get the wheels off!
Anybody have an extra one lying around?

I don't, but why not buy a socket and wrench set and floor jack plus stands and you'll bet set to take wheels off, change out your exhaust, perfom oil changes etc. Or do you want the one that came with the car?

dealer has a master set of wheel lock keys (about 30) stop in and they will remove yours for free. drive home missing one is not a problem, dont go 100 mph though

buy new set with key (I think the last set I sold on RL i was asking $20 or something stupid, the track guuys donw want them and will probably give you a set if you would take them

I got rid of my locking lug bolts. Actually I still have them but don't use them. The lock/socket did not fit on my aftermarket wheels so I just stop using them.

Any chance this is another case of "I didn't know the tool kit is attached to the back of the spare tire or in the tire bag hidden away easily since it is so small"?

Nope, not a chance of that. Had the spare out with the foam board and the jack. Had the car jacked up before I realized I had a locking nut. (unless it fell off and is sitting inside the wheel cover........) Maybe I should look again b4 I buy one.
onefastviking - I might pm you for more info if it isn't there.

my car has the original tool kit (which is very extensive compared to the 996) only thing I was missing was the jack???

I bought a jack today for $20 AND the guy thru in a set of lug nuts so I can replace my locks... gotta love people sometimes

to OP, yea check around, your stuff might be hidden in the car/trunk

If all you need is the "key" and there are 30 different ones chances of getting the right one in a random buy of a tool kit from EBay are pretty slim.
You might try these:

Just check everywhere again and for sure I am missing the toolkit. So, not all 996's have the same size lock? I figured if I bought a 996 kit it would have the one I needed. But the link to Amazon is nice. I could save a bunch of money, but are you sure the kit will have one that fits?

the air compressor also comes with the car.... dont forget that. Personally, I got rid of everything and just use AAA. Fix a flat is an option.

no, not all 996's have the same key for the wheel.....

although in reality there are only 30 tha "bad guys" dont know that... if there was only one key that would make them pretty simple to remove ehhh

I just recently busted my wheel lock key. Went to the dealer and they pulled out the box of 30 possibilities as Ed mentioned. Once they found the right one the parts guys said it was no longer available. I bought a new lock set (997 part #) and all is well.
