How many miles on the FabSpeeds? In my experience, it takes about 1000 miles for them to bed in, or at least for me to get used to them!

Akrapovic doesn't make 996 parts and they have told me directly, their 997 parts won't fit a 996....

But yeah, they're awesome!

Some exhaust designers go through an elaborate process to test thier systems for performace increases (as well as sound, etc.). I cannot speak for others but I do know that Cargraphic and AWE build thier products in line with continued performace testing. When you change the exhaust system on your car (no matter what) you will change the performance characteristics. You may lose performace, you may loss low-end performace and gain high end performance. Something will change, so know that up front..

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, AWE does not have a exhuast system for 3.4l porsches.

That is correct and they will not sell you the ones for the 3.6 because they have not been tested on the 3.4. An honest company..

I agree with this as the 200 cell cats--IMO do work. As far as mufflers, I had Hergesheimer MotorSports in Laguna Hills cut a set of 3.6 mufflers in half, totally gut them and then weld them back to together. We are running them on my friends 996 which he tracks. This a nice mod, not loud but a nice sound. I ran these on my MK1 with Cargraphic 200 cell cats and stock headers. It was a good combination with increased performance at the low and mid range curve.

What do you think of, Fabspeed Mufflers combined with cargraphic's 200 Cell cats and headers? haha

I would save my money and not get headers as the stock OEM exhaust manifolds are good and you will really not get much by changing them. I like the Cargraphic 200 cell cats and would recommend them and do believe they are a benifit (they cost a few $$ though). I cannot comment on the Fabspeed mufflers as I do not know much about them. You can try them with the cats and see if you like that combination and if not always change them later. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

can't go wrong with cargraphic super sport and 200 cell cats... good stuff and great sound...

my personal favorite is PSE for 996; I'm installing FVD 100 cell xpipe cats this week as it will "turn up the sound"... can't wait!

your gonna love this setup... I hope you have the electronic on/off, it really comes in handy when you need to sneak out of the house for a sunday drive.
