Default Pressure wash?

Ya'll use a pressure/power wash to clean, or a simple garden hose with cheap nozzle will do? Conflicting reports; what's the vote?

I use low setting pressure washer.... knocks the dirt better, saves water, and faster to wash. Its also great under the car, engine and rads.

Cheapy, or a real-deal pressure washer? Thinking I can head to Lowe's today and grab a simple one.

Do you "bother" with a de-ionizer? Curious; I don't see the expense yet, but the car is worth it.

no if you wash in the shade, I think a clean microfiber for soap and drying is the key to keep the swirls away for awhile. The ionizer is good washing in the sun.

I usually use a regular garden hose and once in a while the Costco pressure one

I blow dry the car (less contact less marks)

I don't think a pressure washer is a great idea on paint. I remember reading in more than one detailing guide that it will just drive dirt into your paint. Better to just use mild car wash and microfiber. Check out the Concours forum too for more great ideas and tips.

That's the next item on the list for me. It's getting annoying drying my car at the rate I wash it here in Canada. On and off rain every day, I can't keep a clean car for 2 days straight.

I wash my car every week to keep wheels clean and car shinny. The blower really helps dry out car faster with less friction and you reach places you could not with hand drying. Works great on wheels!

Wait, sorry. A leaf blower? Really? Like the handheld Black and Decker I have next to the car?
No de-ionizer in series with that leaf blower I'd imagine.
