Default Can't Get My Mind Of Getting A Wing!

Hi guys, What do you think of this wing on my 2000 C4 ... It's actually a 997 gt3 wing made for a 996 NB. Need your honest opinions. Do you think it will be safe?

Sorry, but I am a fan of the OEM Taco wing on the MK1 cars. Just like the look and its made for the car--IMHO. Good luck with whatever you do..

Agreed. I too have no idea which wing to go for but definitely not the taco. No offense.

That 997 wing is too big for your car.... it may even ruin the dynamics at high speed. you need a bigger front nose to balance it out. I would stick with the 996 wing.... the Mk1 wing is my choice, but if you must have a Mk2 style I would do it like this....

I love the fact OEM parts are tested in the wind tunnel before it is produced. They come in a package and should be treated as such.

How many other aftermarket design pieces carry the same credentials?

Do you like it? If so... Keep it! If not go with what you like!

+1

And I like the taco wing. If you don't really care about tracking your car hard, and looks are your thing, then choose whatever wing makes you happiest. If you care about aerodynamics, then ask a bunch of trackers and copy what they've done on their track cars with non-OEM wings.

The track option is really the CUP wing! with a good front splitter from the Cup car! The OEM Taco wing is good but not what you want unless you are running the Stock class!

Show the rest of your car. Are those rears as wide as they appear?

I like it but I would get the 996 GT3 RS wing with the straight uprights. I have that same wing for my track car and I don't like the "zig" in the uprights, so much so I almost returned it.

Agreed. But do you think that the wing is smaller as compared to the 996 GT3 RS Wing? The GT3 RS Wing is 55' if i am not mistaken?

The Geddy wing I got is 55" and its very big. Too big for a NB 996...
