Depending on what kind of mood I am in......when I get to a stop light and invariably some "dude" pulls up next to me in his ride, looks me over and wants to go for it.........I look over, smile, rev the engine a few times... then look straight ahead.....the light turns green, he goes for it......I sit there....... then when I pull up next to him I make sure I give him a big smile..........he's just been played......worsk like a charm.

Took my wife to lunch this pass week and found the best valet service... the young man parked my p-car in a special spot by itself, put cones in the parking spots next to her so no other cars were parked next to her afterwards, and handed my keys back to me in the restaurant/lounge. Smart kid = big tip and customer appreciation. BTW, this was all his idea... even insisted on bring me my keys afterward after parking her.

So what's annoying about this? Well to start with how do I get all the other valets to do this without sounding like a pompous p-*** owner.
But really... this was the best and I want it again. Well I've found one place where I'll risk valeting her in town with one particular valet.

Aaaargh! The parking!! I wish we were more of a parallel parking culture. Only ONE TIME have I parked my car at The Woodlands mall - for a 10-15 min stop - and I got a ding on the passenger door. I was the first car on the row, so I parked as far away as possible from the other car - some station wagon. And you guys (copper, ssst) know how big these parking spots are in Texas.

It's one of those days when you just go FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

I was at the pub the other day parked right in front. A friend of mine parks his brand new bright red Smart car right next to me. He had driven it straight from the dealer, where he had traded in his Mercedes for it.

While we sat at the bar two different women walked right past my p-carcompletely ignoring it and stood for a long time checking out his Smart car.

Gotta luv the PNW!

One piece of advice I got from a friend that used to valet.

1.) Yes - they will rag your car out.
2.) When you give them the keys...wait for them to hand you the keys back. There is no requirement for them to keep your keys. Request a spot up front as well.

I was a valet at a very expensive high-rise condominium building in the 1980s when I was in college. I can attest to the fact that the attitude and maturity level of most valets isn't very high. My coworkers were generally either college students, or simply morons.

I rarely have my car valet parked, and I always ask for it to be left up front.

I worked as a valet in Boston back in the 80s. We used to leave a whole floor of the garage empty so we could use it for a skid pad with the hot cars.

OMG so true... a Prius, Smart or other EPA posterchild car would get the looks in Seattle too.... P-car owners are wasteful destroyers of the planet... as the SUV's shake thier fists

you live this problems in America or somewhere which is rich.
lets imagine my situation i live in Turkey Antalya.
Yes our country is rich too but our problem is in Antalya
there are so many people which is poor , come to between rich places.
so i have these problems..

1- when i wait on the road for traffic lights somepeople try to talk me

2- fuel depot is small i think

3- in Turkey there is so many bad or some cars which they believe they are fast.
and they try to race me .

4- everypeople ask my what is you higher speed mile.
what is the hp of your car
what did you make the higher speed.

5- and some people when i drive fast on roads. they fell jealous to my. and making annoying things
like sound to horn something.

but i get used to these kind of people. i make my windows black and no body see me
these are annoying things of pcar
