The car hit and skipped over the parking block. I have a set of H&R springs for it. Luckily, they're still in the garage in the box or the damage would've been a lot worse.

My girlfriend is a keeper too, she doesn't even think of touching the car, she knows not to wear jeans with metal zippers or anything that could scratch the seats. She checks if anything could scratch the car before she attempts to lean on it. She buys me upgraded parts for my birthday and Christmas...

She helps me detail it once in a while... she has patience when I wash my car and she's inside cooking and saying "common it's ready" and I say "5 more minutes" when in fact it will be 15 min.

She always watches when she opens her door or how she goes in and out of the car. Also puts on her seat belt properly the first time without hitting the console.

I'm happy with a girl that respects what I love.

Oh and she knows not to roll the windows down after I just finished washing the car.... Hate streaks.

No way I let this one go. She's a once in a lifetime find. In fact, when I was upset that my ex got my Boxster in the divorce, my new wife (girlfriend at that time) said "F**k her. She got the Boxster? Go get a 911."

Both times she damaged the car, she came right home and told me immediately...unlike my ex who mashed up everything she ever drove and claimed she had no idea how it happened. Forget the fact that I investigated accidents for a living...

Last night we took my wife's broken Mac to the Apple store. Apple said it's dead. When she was specing out a new one, she opted for a lesser Mac because she'd "rather use the money for a Pioneer AVIC for your 911".

How can I be angry?
To reference Seinfield, "You need to hold onto her like grim death........"

My wife said that I should get my 911 instead of replacing windows on the house. She said "the're windows, that's not fun, will just caulk them."

I got a little misty eyed when she said that and then planted a big one on her.

Guys:
reading this thread makes me smile for sure. I can relate to all the experiences. My wife knows I am a car nut, one who likes his vehicles clean and well cared for. She was backing out of a spot a kid right behind her backed into her car. I heard about it right away.....and she had a bit of panic in her eyes. Hey, her's is only a car, it can be fixed. As for my baby, I have had her drive it twice so far at Lime Rock in 2 DE's. She is an excellent driver and I am confident in her abilities but, she is not so passionate about it. I am truly lucky, look how much money I save on brakes and tires........She knows that she can take it out whenever she wants but I think the seats and harnesses are a bit of a deterent ! However, if she said, go get that GT3 you are always reading about, now that would be like hitting the lottery..... until then she is still a keeper!!!!!!!

Default I guess I'm pretty lucky then

I taught my wife how to drive stick on an old 1980's Nissan pickup that I bought for $50. Now she won't even consider owning an automatic.

She has and loves an Acura RSX, but is quite welcome and capable behind the wheel of the 911. She was down with the purchase so long as we got 1) seat heaters and 2) a C4, as she feels safer with AWD and PSM. Done and done.

Of course now that we have the car she wants to go do some DE's. Who am I to say no?

OK, so I have one for you...

I have always dreamed of going to the Pebble Beach Concours. Last night, my new bride briefed me on this year's vacation. She planned the whole thing...

We are flying into San Francisco for a couple of days. Then, we're driving to Carmel to see 1) the Rolex Monterey Reunion 2) a couple of the auctions 3) the Conourso Italiano 4) the Tour d'elegance and finally 5) the Pebble Beach Concours.

Then we're driving down to LA to visit with family and going to the Petersen Museum.

...and she also bought tickets to the new Baltimore Grand Prix for when we get home...

I'm so friggin' lucky. I suppose a couple of scratches on the old Porsche isn't so bad.

Sounds like a keeper however in time she will most likey refuse to drive your pcar for fear of damage such as this.

The last time I let my girlfriend drive the 4S she was doing burnouts at stoplights to impress her friend... in an all wheel drive car!!!
