My wife won't acknowledge that I bought or now own a Porsche. She won't sit in it, won't look at it, won't talk about it. That's all for the better. In another few months, I won't have to sit with her, look at her, and won't have to talk either to her or about her either.
Nothing like trading an intransigent woman for a compliant Porsche.

...is really an excellent driver. Seriously. She is competent, confident and attentive. She also knows how funny I am about my cars, so she's very careful about where she goes, where she parks, even how she gets in and out of the car.
She's driven the 996 twice. The first time she curbed one of my Sport Classic IIs. Today she crushed the front bumper on a parking block. What the friggin' hell???

My wife is very cool about my Porsche obsession, she wont drive the 911, drives the 996 on occasion and the Cayenne all the time.
She's it pretty careful but if she breaks somthing.... I can fix it. No big deal.
BUT I find one damn French fry, coffee spill or something in there, she is dead meat!

Every time my significant other says she wants to drive my 996 and how good a driver she is I simply point to her POS Honda that she has owned since new with the dents, door dings, curb rash, bumper scrapes, etc. Since both cars are 2002's and mine is (for the most part) flawless, she backs off quickly.

Married four months. This is my second time around. Wasted 20 years of my life trying to make the first one work. For some reason I took that whole "for better for worse" thing seriously. Apparently I thought it meant "for better or for really f**ked up".
No way I let this one go. She's a once in a lifetime find. In fact, when I was upset that my ex got my Boxster in the divorce, my new wife (girlfriend at that time) said "F**k her. She got the Boxster? Go get a 911."
Both times she damaged the car, she came right home and told me immediately...unlike my ex who mashed up everything she ever drove and claimed she had no idea how it happened. Forget the fact that I investigated accidents for a living...
Last night we took my wife's broken Mac to the Apple store. Apple said it's dead. When she was specing out a new one, she opted for a lesser Mac because she'd "rather use the money for a Pioneer AVIC for your 911".
How can I be angry?
No way I let this one go. She's a once in a lifetime find. In fact, when I was upset that my ex got my Boxster in the divorce, my new wife (girlfriend at that time) said "F**k her. She got the Boxster? Go get a 911."
