found another 996..looks good - one question
all,
found another 1999 996 6 speed in bay area and have a quick question regarding transmisson in these cars.
the car i am looking at has had transmission work at 50K miles..
are there problems with these transmissions that i haven't heard about?

I've heard of issues with the synchros wearing out. In fact, I'm having a little trouble with mine, especially when downshifting into 2nd gear. I haven't really heard of other issues aside from the pop-out issue that Maurice mentioned.
