Default Rattle in Passenger Door

Quick question.

There is a springy rattle noise coming from inside the passenger side door. It seems to be worse when it is cold out.

Any idea what that could be? Is it safe for the mechanically inept to take door panel off and look or is that something for Porsche professional to do?

Thanks,
Bobby

Do you hear this while driving? When closing the door?

Removing the door panel isn't that hard if you follow the instructions but are you sure the noise you hear is really coming from inside the door? Could it be something in the pocket?

Is it coming from behind the air bag panel? Mine does this and it's worse when cold. I can push on the air bag panel and it goes away.

Some more details:

The rattle starts as soon as the engine starts.

It is coming from right above and behind the airbag area. Pushing in doesn't seem to have any effect.

Probably not beer can, those are all accounted for.

Sounds like one of the clips holding a cable may have broken allowing the cable to move.

Can you hear the noise w/o the car running when closing the door?

Default door rattle

I had this rattle and was sure it was behind the airbag because when I pressed there it stopped, but after taking the door off several times and thinking i had it fixed it wasn't, turned out it was one of the bolts holding the speaker had come slightly loose and just needed tightening. There are 4 bolts i think.
