Default 997 Pedals in a 996?

my friend has a brand new 997. Very nice car, main thing I've noticed is how similar it is to my 2003 C4S - surprisingly so.

One thing I really like about the car is the gas, brake, clutch, etc. Pedals - very nice look and feel. Anyone know if these can be installed on a 996??

Why not just install some aluminium ones like these for $100.00?

Any resolution to this? I like the Suncoast set better than the stock 996, but the stock 997 pedals look nice as well.

I got the Suncoast set for my 996, couldn't be happier, looks awesome.

Before:

Ready for install:

Oddly enough there wasn't enough sunken-head bolts in the kit so you can see two bolts in the brake-pedal missing. Had to find replacements at my local hardware store. Not the end of the world but still a bit annoying. Though it might have been just my kit though.

Whats wrong with the OEM look? Can you post a pic of the 997's? Why do you think they are better?

Looks same as the 987, they look so good no need to swap em. However the 996 ones could be improved.

The OEM 996 pedals are just fine. Get over it.

I purchased the same set as reflected in the Suncoast link, off ebay for $72.00 I like the way the aluminum set looks on the cars

A 15 year old Toyota is just fine to get you around. You don't need a Porsche. Get over it.

If he likes the looks of aluminium pedals instead of the original black plastic ones, let him upgrade! Porsche also sells alu pedals in the Tequipment-programme if you are of those who only approve of items from the factory.

This one has "GT3" pedals, don't care much for the wrap though.

Wow, ^ that's devotion. The amount of effort to glue together an exoskeleton like that is maniacal.

I bought a 997 gas pedal off ebay ($11!), I can pretty confidently say it won't fit. I completely took it apart and I don't see a way, it's too different. A real shame, it's much better looking, and I'm sure the brake and clutch pedals would fit fine.

I also have the set from Sun Coast. It is a nice, inexpensive upgrade. They've held up well over the years.
