Default Not sure that my PSM is working

Hello all! So far I've enjoyed my first two weeks with the 02 C4S but I have had to fix a few little things and there is one last thing I need to figure out. Yesterday I decided to see what the car was like with the PSM turned off. I pushed the button and nothing happened. I then held the button for a few seconds and nothing happened. I thought there was supposed to be a light or something when it was off? The light on the switch does not come on either but I don't know if it is supposed to.

Basically the car never says the PSM is on or off and the switch doesn't seem to do anything at all. Also when I shut the car off for a split second on the dash it says "PSM failure drive to workshop" It flashes on the screen for maybe half a second and that is it.

ABS works as I already had to test that out the other day thanks to a Coyote crossing the road. And overall the car seems to handle fine and I havn't gotten the tires to break free at all so I'm guessing PSM is doing something.

Keep in mind this car has the VF-Engineering supercharger kit on it so I don't know if PSM was disabled somehow when that was done.

Thanks for any help!

On mine, if I press the PSM switch, the light in the switch and the light in the dash both light up.

Drive it on a slippery surface. Try it on and off. You should notice the difference.

No difference = problem.

What's a slippery surface? We don't get those fun things here in the desert.

Unless it won't show up on a normal OBDII scanner then there is nothing at all as I have put my car on my OBDII scanner at least 20 times already.

You have sand right? Find a place with some sand on the road and lay in the pedal. When my PSM goes on it feels like it cuts power and bogs down until you are on solid ground. This only happens during DE's for me. Crazy driving is for the track.

Did I do good Ed?

Ok I will see if I can find a sandy road but it still raises the question of why when I push the PSM off button nothing happens at all? No light on dash or switch.

Good point. If the lite doesn't come on then I think its time to take to a mechanic. Like you say....the supercharger might have something to do with it.

I have yet to make my PSM indicator light up, but couldn't you just pop the clutch in a parking lot and see if it does a donut?
