Cool 996 Forum Vultures!

Wow.
I have read several threads on the 996 boards today where a newbie has posted some sort of problem, or dredged up an old thread after searching for/and finding what he wanted to ask, and the first thing we do is jump all over these guys.
What is going on?
This is not like us.
Is our board so filled up with members that we can just shoo way the newbies now?

Newbies. I apologize for the mud-brained morons who are so starved to attack someone on the internet that they picked on you before you even had a chance to grow into the groove here (though it seems our groove has jumped the track lately).

Newbies. Please don't go away angry or insulted. The vast majority of us do not find our lives so stark and dry that we have to attack total strangers who have come to us for help and guidance.

It might be cabin fever for all those who have been snowed in for so long. It might be the stress and impatience brought on by things they cannot control.

Regardless. We really are a fun group...usually...limiting our initial hazing comments to goading you into posting a picture of your car.

Please forgive the buttox's out there today. We are not all that way.

Thanks

I'm a newbie and have received tons of help, kind words and some constructive criticism in the past few days. It's a nice refreshing change from my local car forum that is full of trolls and D-bags. I think you guys and gals are great so far. Keep up the good work.

This thread is a testament to the quality of this forum. I don't think you'd find another major forum where members care so much about how new members get treated.

That said, I am taking confessions for a limited time only. If you bashed a newbie and want to make it up, you can confess for a small fee. Just PM me and I'll send you my bank account details.

Takers, anyone?

One of my first posts was regarding installing fabspeed cans. I was directed to show pics of my issue...which I complied. I have gotten into arguments with some and made friends with others. The 996 board is like a fraternity. The replies today regarding seating were asking questions if you read between the lines. We all have a common bond....its not about how much we make a year or what our titles are. Honestly I couldn't give a rats a$$. This is a great place plain and simple and I am very happy to be a part of it.

Right now he's posting on the Neon forums "I totally blew the doors off a Porsche today!"

I know some of the guys here in this forum are Real Porsche/Car guys. There are in different forum/models. They also make fun sometimes and I think the intentions for the newbies are not meant in a harmful way (I think) sometimes...

Anyway, I enjoy being here and I am starting to meet / chat with some of you guys here. Its nice to know other people's opinion and do "car" talk.

Anyway, keep doing what you guys are doing! Its a great fraternity here!
