We ran Bridgestone RE-960's on our 993 and absolutely loved them. We will put them on anything now requiring all-season tires they were so good. More expensive than the Sumi's, but IMHO worth it.

Nope, 18's. They don't seem to make them in 225 / 40.
Looks like you are right. But the RE-970 has now superseded the 960. They do have the 225/40, but you would have to go up to 275/35 in the rear. Looking at my car, that should not be a problem.

Interesting, but at close to $1,000 for the set, I may just keep my summer/winter setup a little longer!
