Default FisterD PSE hack done today :)

FisterD PSE hacked mufflers installed today on my 2004 40th Anniversary. All I can say is WOW! If you have not done it or are considering doing it do not delay DO IT NOW. You will not regret it.

Car sounds amazing. Now maybe mine sounds deeper or louder because of the X51 package on a 40th (I have nothing to compare it to) but it is nice and throaty with ZERO drone at speed. However, when the varicam hits

Good for you, it's one of the best 'sounding' mods you can do.

You'll love parking garages even more now. It's especially fun when you first start up a cold engine and your 996 "clears it's throat" a little.

What Stage did you go with? I am close to ordering, but only want an increase in throatiness. If it comes with a significant increase in overall sound, then I will stay with stock.

Does your system sound much different than stock during moderate driving?

Thanks-Mawgie

Oh yeah to Darin and his Fister D mods! Absolutely worth it!
Mawgie: under normal loads (moderate driving) nice and quiet (i.e. like stock- no drone...even the wife doesn't notice).....BUT, when you decide to put your foot into it..........fantastic, simply fantastic! A huge smile every time!

+1 for all accounts.....

Darin is awesome and the sound is NOT obnoxious or loud,... just perfect - un-noticable at cruise and so satisfying at WOT

I did the mod a couple of weeks back and put a vid/sound clip on my emmy web page. Loving it.

Is it true that the cost for the Stage II DIY mod is in the $250-$300 range? Hard to believe that this improvement comes at such a good price.

Yep.... Considering a true 996 PSE is over $6k now..... Insane. The 997 PSE costs @$2k+ but they don't sound as sweet.
