We meet every Saturday for coffee so it would be easy to take care of in just a few minutes. Check out our Cary/Apex coffee thread.

Not Briar Creek. We meet at Wake Zone Coffee in Apex. LINK

Like I said, we are there every Saturday unless there is a track event. Just give me a heads up when you can make it so I make sure to grab my multimeter and tools.

LVDell,

Thanks so much for the offer, I can manage the work.

I doubt I will be able to make it this Saturday, but may show up. Would love to meet the group...

Do you know if anyone from the group has done the Gundo hack on their 996?, I would love to hear the sound in person before I move forward with it (been thinking about it for a while)

No worries. The offer is always open.

As far as the coffee group, it is a great group of guys that love their cars

I'm notnsure what the Gundo hack is. What is it?

Major upgrade to the exhaust sound (IMHO). Partial bypass of the muffler.

I love the sound from the files, but would like to hear it in person.

Another member of this site did the "hack" and uploaded the files.

Regards

Final V1 hardwire installation, I love the fact that in can barely be seen from the front, the same thing from the back, yet the driver has a nice view of the arrows and alarm, also it is close enough that I can hear it with the top down, driving at 70MPH and the radio blasting; I slid the detector 1/2 inch to the right after I took the pictures, made sure the rear detector cleared the visor and the front detector is also clear of the rear view mirror:

BTW, liked it so much that did the same thing to my Mercedes E420 daily driver, with the Beltronics I had in the Porsche, it is on the driver's side, loud enough (hard top):

Default V1

So literally two wires have to be hooked up? Just ground and power?

Automatically turns on when you start car?

Seems too easy lol
