Hmmmm... 9 quarts x 32 oz per quart = 288 ounces.

288/1.7 = 169.4 bottles needed for an oil change.

169.4 x $48 = $8,131.74 per oil change, not including the shipping and filter.

That Argan Moroccan Oil must be great stuff!!!

Is this the right blog to post this Tweet in?
$48 for almost 2 ounces doesn't seem too bad at all...oh wait...you're talking bout oil. Never mind!

I stopped the car and called Porsche assistance. BIG MISTAKE. Porsche have not even opened the car. They have quoted £8,968.99 to maintain my Porsche warranty. That is the standard price! Upset by the price I was advised to phone Porsche customer services. The lady there unhelpfully stated "what did she expect them to do, it was my fault" and advised I speak to my insurers. Very rude and very unhelpful. The garage has informed me the work they need to do actually only needs to be £1,300 but if I do not spend the £9k there will be a mark against the car in the Porsche records that will mean it has no value to a Porsche dealer. The whole experience meand I will never own a Porsche again.
You are in the wrong forum but to answer your question and in defence of this Porsche FOrum, I obviously don't know the actual layout of the fuel lines on a Cayenne Diesel but as soon as you realized your mistake, would it have been possible for you to have syphoned the tank almost dry, then drained the tank yourself a bit at a time into an oil catcher via the petrol filter. I think that the filter is the lowest part of the fuel line? It is I think on the 911 if the Cayenne is built the same way. Then topped it off with diesel? Then ring them again and tell them you made a mistake as you only thought you had used the gas pump and that you had in fact used the diesel pump at the station afterall? Just a thought. (Now after my saying all that, I believe it is also fatal to let a diesel engine run completely out of fuel anyway, so maybe I am clutching at straws here). Which ever way I think you were treated unfairly as everyone can make a mistake. Anyway I thought that a petrol pump would not go into the filler of a diesel vehicle. Or is that statement, visa versa?

Here in the US.. there are mechanism in place so that you cant fill unleaded fuel with Deisel engines and vice versa. Maybe you should sue Porsche or the EU petrol industry for destroying you car and making your Porsche ownership experience not idiot proof enough... just a thought.
