That "droning" means your engine under too much load because you're lugging it. I would not operate the car at such low rpms on the highway. Fine when you're creeping around town not pushing much air and being helped along by low gears, but it's pretty unkind at higher speeds. The drone is telling you to downshift.
FWIW, I've had EVOM's exhaust for four years, and I'm pretty sure it's made by Fabspeed. I don't love the sound at idle, but I've found it great otherwise. Gets attention, has a little bit of the air-cooled character (from outside the car, anyway), but very civilized on the highway.

Agency Power Exhaust
I was thinking about buying these for my 996 until I read this thread and someone mentioned that they are Chinese made. True they may be but they offer a Limited Lifetime warranty against defects and failure so I would think that if something went wrong because they are Chinese made then you could simply exchange for another one...no?

It's an old thread but I'm chime in anyway since someone necro-bumped it.
My friend has the Agency exhaust on his C4S and its so quiet you can barely hear it unless he is really ripping on it. Too quiet for my tastes.
