Chirping Tires...
Regarding chirping the tires or breaking the rear tires loose, it seems difficult to do with the C4S (unless, of course, I rev the hell out of it). I even have the X51 345hp package.
Does everyone else have the same "issue"? I mean, it's supposed to be 5/95 torque split under normal conditions and 40/60 at worst. So I would assume that it would have been somewhat easy to break the rear tires loose with minimal clutch pop into 1st gear. Instead, I would have to rev the hell out of the engine to chirp the tires in 1st with the PSM off.
Ideally, I'd also like to be able to chirp the tires hard shifting into 2nd gear, but that's not easy to do either. When I do get to do it in the 1-2 shift, the PSM light kicks in without me hearing the tires chirp.
So should I just buy really cheap tires since the Michelin Pilots are too sticky? I know it sounds pretty juvenile wanting to chirp the tires (I'm on the "older side" age-wise although my wife challenges me on that), but I find this somewhat stress relieving.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I know what you mean... I can't do it in my wife's Audi A4 either. I can do it in my Boxster S, but I put that away for the winter. The C4S doesn't see snow, but I drive it as a backup car during the winter. I would have bought a 40th Anniversary car if it had the wide body...

chirping tires... really?
I have done it off the start maybe once.... it is def possible. Never tried in second. A good fast shift doesn't invlving chirping!

Why would you want to loose traction intentionally while accelerating? These cars are too good to bark tires with the AWD. If you want thrills go to the track, my tires screetch in the corners when pushed to the limit but no matter how hard you accelerate you will only break traction in the wet for a split second before AWD adjusts.

No need for a new clutch yet... it's solid.
I don't want to do this all the time... just some of the time. As I mentioned, it's somewhat of a stress relief for me. You can't possibly tell me that you don't feel like driving like a hooligan every once in a while... And also, I've been doing the track events since 1992. So I got that covered. But we don't do track events in the winter in the Northeast...

Drifting
If it's important, disconnect the front drive shaft, and add a supercharger. disconnect or overide some of the electronics for LSD, traction control, ABD active brake diff, or whatever systems your car may have to keep this from happening. Remove clutches in your rear diff, replace dual mass clutch, buy cheap hard tires. DONE!

Three Wheelin'
Time to add another car to your stable. Maybe get a 2006-2009 4.6L Mustang (these cars have taken it on the chin in value since the intro of the 5.0L) and add supercharger and there you go!
Even with a C2 the best you'll get is some substantial wheel hop.
Now a GT2, that's a different story.....
