Hi all!!
Have had the car for two weeks now, so it's time that I introduce myself properly and post some pictures.
The car is a UK/Japanese import 2003 911 (996) Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Bought as a UK spec car from a dealer in Denmark. Imported to Japan in 2006 (probably by the original owner). Then came to NZ in 2007 (Christchurch), and ended up in Wellington in 2008.
It's fully loaded, heated seats, Porsche Communication Management, telephone, cruise control, leather seats, tiptronic, 18 inch Carrera wheels, hard-top, and PSM among other things. Speedo is in miles, but there is a digital speedo in kph that I use.
I traded my E60 530i for this P-car, and the differences are vast. I can't believe that 911 is going to be this much fun. 90kph to some unmentionable speed in 2 seconds. 0-100kph at 5.5 s, at second gear.
While I miss my electric-memory seat, automatic light, front PDC; I don't miss the rain sensor, crap stereo, terrible gas mileage (14l/100k around Wellington city!) from my 5 series.
After every drive I climbed out feeling both happy and scared.
BTW, my gas milage is about 11-15l/100km in the P car, and that involves some red-lining from time to time.
Now I have to start collecting parts for maintenance work on this car like rear brake kits etc.
For Kiwi forum members, you would've recognised where these photos were taken.

Nice car mate. They are very enjoyable cars.
Your car doesn't have numbered buttons down to the right for seat memory? I guess I got lucky when I found my car.
Good find for the beginning of your summer down there.

We got hooked on convertible since last July, where we we spent a couple of weeks driving around in a Ford Mustang convertible in Nevada and California. We think it's very cool if we could have one in NZ. Hence the hunt started. Also helped that this car took a long time to sell so the dealer dropped the price by a lot. Sub $50k 996s went really quickly but not the ones costing more than that.
Summer officially starts in a week!!! Yay.

Yeah, no seat memory. The only hassle with that is the passenger side mirror doesn't drop down when the car is put in reverse.
