Just wanted to comment that I had the clutch/flywheel/aos/ and dreaded ims retrofit done and have to say the car is running great. I had no idea how bad the clutch had gotten until I got the car back. It's also nice not to have to keep worrying about the ims failure.... money well spent.
For those of you in Arizona I would highly recommend Beck's European in Scottsdale and Phoenix. They did a great job and I got my car back the 2nd day, which seemed to be a quick turnaround.
I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Thanksgiving.

I'll try to disassemble the bearing today to take a closer look and post pics. As for the pricing, he asked me not to discuss b/c of the fact that he tries to take care of the Rennlist community and didn't want to give specifics online. All I will say is that it was very reasonable compared to what I would have paid to take it to the local dealer who aren't even supporting ims retrofits according to their service writer.

Anyone know good independents in the MA/RI area that have experience with this install? I would like to get it done, but I don't have any relationships with any indies yet in this area.

Used LN Engineering retrofit. As for clutch engadgement- much easier to engadge after replacement and at a lower point. I looked at clutch condition after replacement and it still had some wear left on it, but not much. Flywheel was burned and out of spec so I decided to have it replaced. My understanding is that it wasn't crucial to be replaced but I would have some chatter and noise from the clutch if I hadn't.

Tarek- I decided to do the IMS for peace of mind. I'm in school right now and a catastrophic IMS failure would be a very, very bad thing, so I opted to do it since they were dropping the tranny anyways to do the AOS. The cost to go ahead and do it was relatively inexpensive. I don't think I would have done it had I not heard so many things online and off about the chance it could happen. I'm hoping that this car will last me a while. BTW- I think I've seen your 996 on the 101, sharp looking body kit and wheels, and great color.

I changed my IMS to LNE upgrade today. It was easy job, thou I allready had the engine in the stand.
First when I opened the old flange i thought the bearing was fine and think that ok I sell the LNE bearing to some one.
Well I changed it anyways. After the job I dismanled the old bearing and now I'm glad that I changed it.
It might have lasted 10k to 20k km....
Ballbearings and the outerrace had all ready some wear in them.
My car has 82k km, and i have drove 2k
