Well??? I got the call from the insurance company. The rear bumper cover can be repaired......the Aerokit decklid is toast. Cost of the repair estimate is $8179 with $6000 being the decklid. I'm taking the old decklid home...it will make for a good shelf in the garage. All new stuff is OEM. Hope to have the car back in a week or 2. Now lets just hope the repair is completed the right way.

 

LOL - $8k for that.... how often do we tell people there are no "its not bad" bumps on these cars and yet they insist things can be fixed on the cheap...I know because my little "scuff" set my car back over $5k - I am glad its getting fixed correctly and not patched up, bet the guyu who did it will crap a load when he hears the cost.....

This guy is gonna be crappin' alright...when he first told me about the hit he said he has a paint guy that could fix it for a couple hundred bucks. That meant slap some bondo and paint. You are so right Ed...the average Dick (could have said Joe) has no idea what he just hit.
