Default Mishap in the work parking lot!!

Leaving work late yesterday, my cell phone starting ringing as I walked out the office front door. It was a fellow employee with a down trodden voice. He says "Pete?" I say "yeh?" He says "We gotta talk". By this time I see the guy in the parking lot on his phone as I'm now 30' away. I hang up and walk over to him. He says he backed into my car with his lifted Chevy Silverado. I look at the car from 10' away and don't notice anything until he hands me the 'C' off of the Carrera emblem. Closer inspection and sure $hit.....nice soft ball size dent that covers the rear lid and the bumper cover. The deck lid paint is cracked and crumpled under...

Not a happy camper but the offender feels horrible. He doesn't think its that bad but I know better. A part of me wants to take his head off. It will get it fixed the right way. But the point I wanted to make was that with all the idiots out there who never want to take responsibility for their actions I found a guy (or he found me) that does. And coming into a holiday weekend I am and truly thankful for people like that. BTW.....there are a lot of RLstr's that fall into that category too.

Happy Turkey Day everybody!

darn and I am all oout of spare deck lids!

sorry to hear Pete, glad at least you know who did it.
so if you get that fixed will it show as an accident on the car history report? You need to consider that thing where you make them pay for devaluing your car too..

shoot, really sorry man -

Sorry to hear about this. FLT996 had a MK1 wing FS before at a good price. Don't know if it is sold.

Too bad about the accident, but you had an honest person who wants to make it right for you. GL with the repair.

That stinks but at least he didn't admit fault to you and then lie and say you hit him. I hope your car has a speedy recovery Pete!

This is but a minor bump in the road. Like the others suggest, instead of looking at this as a bad thing, think about how nice it is to work with at least one person that's got some character.
