I have a 996 3.6 x 51 with original shocks and springs h & r. I checked the distances from the center of the wheels to the front fender on the car and 'higher than 5 mm. I checked the assembly code and it 's all right, only the rubber cushion in front touches the top, that' there is no rush. cut 1-2 cm? Do you think it changes the front?
If I wanted to lower the car 1 cm cutting the springs?

Sounds like you want to lower your car by cutting the springs. I've heard of people doing this before, but on a 10 year old Honda Civic, not a Porsche. I wouldn't do it.

Do NOT cut the springs.
I don't understand most of your post, but if you cut the springs they will no longer seat properly on the strut collar or top mount (depending on which end you cut) and will likely be unsafe. Also, the process of cutting them will likely throw the spring rate out of spec, not to mention result in the bottoming out of your shocks & struts leading to $$$ repairs.
Do NOT cut your springs. Ever. On any car.

So you have shorter springs and the rebound bumper is hitting? Would the car drop the 5mm when you remove the bumper?
Isn't the bumper progressive? Almost solid to hollow accordian? I think if the bumper is compressed enough to hold the car up then wrong bumper/shocks for the springs.
How much "extra" travel is there before the shock is bottomed out internally without the bumper there?
In other words if you cut the bumper what is the next stop when you hit a bump that fully compresses the suspension? If it is the shock you risk destroying the shock when the suspension bottoms out.

I dont think you want to cut it - the new spring rates should be stiffer and you dont want to change the max travel of the shock - most likely
I ran eibach springs on stock shocks and nothing was cut - work AOK

Those springs are progressive. You cut them and they will not work properly. The upper narrow part of the spring is the "stronger spring area". You'll risk the chance of bottoming out the springs.
The springs h&r 'progressive. Cut = New shocks in 6 months.
