Default Oh, man....I can't believe it

On my way to work today, my IMS and RMS didn't blow up. Same thing yesterday. And the day before.

In fact, my 911 and Boxster have been relatively trouble free. Go figure.

I'm in the same boat, what should I do? What are you going to do?

I don't know what to do. Should I worry? Should I fret? Should I get rid of my cars because they're trouble-free?

I think I'll trade mine for something...less reliable?

Okay, here's my plan: I'll get rid of both Porsches and buy a nice reliable car - like a Toyota Camry. Oh, wait....they're not reliable, and will keep me up at night worrying.

So, after much deliberation, I'm staying with Porsche.

I think you should design your own IMS bearing that has.... maybe, that has 3 or 4 redundancy built in. You know, just in case your IMS fail while cornering at high speed, produce D chunks at the cylinder, and has its coolant mix with the oil..... all at the same time. The marketing for such issues has all been done already..... but, just dont expect to be rich from it.

I had to replace my battery over the weekend. Also, I ate several cookies.

Default Me too

Mine's been running perfectly too. (although in the last month I thought I had a few big problems that have so far proved to be unfounded worries).

Because it has been running so well I think I'll change oils, maybe a good 20W-50.

Which oil is best?

Like a singer sewing machine, no problems in the last year, 12K miles. (All road miles, not my daily driver)
